Projects
Castor West
We are proposing to construct a solar energy facility with 47 megawatts of total generating capacity approximately 2 km west of the Town of Castor on privately owned land. The project will generate enough renewable energy to offset approximately 55,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions, or enough to power over 14,000 homes.
Legal
Canwest Solar Development Corp and Starlight Energy are proposing to construct a solar energy facility with 125 megawatts of total generating capacity (the “Project”). The Project area is approximately 8 km west of the Town of Legal on privately owned land. The Project would generate enough renewable energy to avoid approximately 145,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions, equivalent to power over 38,000 homes.
Morinville
Canwest Solar Development Corp and Starlight Energy are proposing to construct a solar energy facility with 24 megawatts of total generating capacity, approximately 8 km northwest of the Town of Morinville on privately owned land. The project will generate enough renewable energy to offset approximately 28,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions, or enough to power over 7,000 homes.
Spruce Grove
Canwest Solar Development Corp and Starlight Energy are proposing to construct a solar energy facility with 24 megawatts of total generating capacity (the “Project”). The project is located approximately 7 km southwest of the Parkland Airport on privately owned land. The Project would generate enough renewable energy to avoid approximately 28,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions, equivalent to power over 7,000 homes.
