Agrivoltaics
What are agrivoltaics?
Agrivoltaics (also known as agrisolar) is the practice combining agricultural activities with solar photovoltaic panels on the same area of land. This co-location of solar panels and farms has created a new and dynamic field of industry generally referred to as agrivoltaics.
Solar Grazing
Solar grazing is the practice of combining solar panels with animal husbandry. Examples include grazing sheep or constructing apiaries.
Required Studies
A series of technical, environmental, and regulatory studies is completed to ensure every project meets all federal and provincial requirements. These assessments provide the foundation for safe development, responsible land use, and full compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Decommissioning
Project decommissioning involves the safe removal, recycling, and restoration of all end‑of‑life infrastructure to meet environmental, landowner, and regulatory expectations. The process ensures the site is returned to its original condition or prepared for its next intended use with minimal disruption.
Crops & Equipment
There are a variety of crops that are suitable to grow near solar panels. In many instances, the coverage from the panels have a positive impact on crop yields. As well, no specialized equipment is needed, rather simply equipment that is small enough to fit between arrays.
